Many people will remember Dinesh Karthik, stumping Michael Vaughan in 2004. It was his first dismissal as an Indian wicketkeeper, although his international career was short. India had MS Dhoni at the helm and behind the stumps around the time Karthik was churning out steady runs in domestic cricket, so there was really little Karthik could do. Many people are unaware of a man who was an essential component of England’s Test series win in 2007, demonstrating his ability to open the batting in hot circumstances.
