He was cast in Daasi after meeting Devipriya, one of the film’s scriptwriters. Narsing Rao was introduced to him by Devipriya. In 2013, he began directing Waiting for Death, a documentary on the effects of fluorosis on individuals in his birthplace of Nalgonda. He was hired to portray Chintakindi Mallesham’s father in Mallesham twenty-five years after Daasi (2019).
He got the part because Laxman Aelay, the Mallesham production designer, recommended him to the director Raj. He was later connected with another picture, Chitikela Pandiri, but he had to turn to ad-filmmaking for a living.
